This includes interpreting the collective agreements, estimating costs and paying the engaged talents. TPS has the necessary experience, knowledge, technology and systems. Many producers and agencies, including members of the AQAA, already entrust the whole management of this process to TPS.
Founded in 1979, Legault Joly Thiffault l.l.p. is renowned to be the pioneer in advertising law throughout Québec. As such, we know thoroughly this constantly evolving industry and are always a step ahead. Indeed, we act as counsel for a great number of advertising agencies and their respective clients. We also represent the advertising industry within the framework of its negotiations towards the Agreement concerning Commercials which manages and governs the labour conditions between the Union des Artistes and the Joint Producers Association. For the last two decades, we have actively participated in the negotiation process and in the drafting up of many advertising agreements for the hiring of spokespersons. We have also acquired an expertise in the preparation and negotiation of sponsorship agreements as well as agreements governing the business relations between advertisers and advertising agencies. We also act as counsel for advertising agencies on a daily basis in regard with their advertising and promotional campaigns as well as for the protection of their clients' trademarks. Finally, our role as legal counsel of the Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) for almost 30 years now, of the Association des agences de publicité du Québec (AAPQ) (Quebec Advertising Agencies Association)since its foundation and of the Publicité Club of Montréal (PCM) – now merged with the Association Marketing of Montréal (AMM) – in addition to our implication as the legal counsel of the Association du Marketing Relationnel (AMR), confirm our status of leader in both the advertisement and entertainment fields.
